YOUR HELP NEEDED: Do you Value the Eton Avenue ‘Piazza’?
This safe pedestrian area between Hampstead Theatre and The Royal Central College of Speech and Drama, with its markets and shady spaces is under threat
– once the 100 Avenue Road tower is finished (next to Hampstead Theatre) this ‘piazza’ will become the main route for service and delivery traffic, day and night: Amazon and Tesco type home deliveries, contractors of all sorts, bin collections, take-away deliveries.
This seems incompatible with safe use by the many pedestrians, children playing and cyclists currently enjoying this refuge from the busy and dangerous Finchley Rd and gyratory.
The Belsize Society wishes to protect it.
We are applying to Camden for it to be an ‘ACV’ – Asset of Community Value to recognize its place in our community and help give it some protection.
WE NEED YOUR HELP – deadline Sept 30th!
Please send us some brief comments on how you use and value the piazza and why you think Camden should protect it. Click the link to the questionnaire:
Thanks!
