Getting involved

The Belsize Society is entirely run by volunteers – and we’re always on the look out for people who want to make a difference in our community!

Whether you just have an occasional hour or more time or particular interest or skills, your help can go a long way in supporting our events, publications, and neighbourhood initiatives. Joining the committee gets you even more involved!

Please let us know on the form below if you’d like to be included in our volunteering list (no commitment!).

There are plenty of ways to get involved including:

Event organisation
Writing or editing content for our quarterly newsletter
Maintaining the noticeboards
Helping at our events
Delivering newsletters
Helping to lead guided walks
Or perhaps baking a cake for one of our gatherings!

Joining the Committee

For those interested in shaping the future of The Belsize Society, we are always on the look out for new Committee members.

The Committee is a great place to help the Society; you hear about what is happening in Belsize, raise awareness of issues and lead some aspect of the Society’s involvement.

The Committee meets each month, except August, at members’ homes. And there is team of people looking at planning matters, the various publications, Society events, and engaging with Camden Council about the policies being pursued in the Borough.

You can come and sit in informally, join as a co-opted member and if you like it, can seek election at the next AGM.

Some committee members are also Trustees, with responsibility for the governance of the charity.
