An illustrated talk by Pamela Holmes on the life of Mildred Holland. This Victorian vicar’s wife claimed up rickety ladders to lie on her back painting angels and saints inn gold leaf and bright colours on the ceiling of her husband’s church in Suffolk. A veritable Michelangelo in skirts!
